Our camp begins Friday at 10 am and runs until noon on Sunday. We will open the doors at precisely 10 am for all campers. We need the time before the camp begins to make sure we are all set up and ready to go. Since we are sure it will be cold outside, please be careful not to arrive early, as we don't want you to get too cold out there! We will have sewing and room locations next to your friends already assigned, so don't worry about getting there early to have a good spot, they will all be laid out nicely for each of you. The facility has a large drive, with a sidewalk that can you can use to take your things right up to the front door. Please unload and move your car as soon as possible so others can get unloaded, especially those spots closet to the ramp. Access to the sleeping room wing can be through the main doors, so just drop off all your things there. Once inside, we will drop your sewing supplies in the main conference room. Your overnight bags can be wheeled to your sleeping room. We will meet you just inside the main room to let you know your sewing and sleeping spots, as well as make sure you get any information you may need. We will have one ironing area but could use a couple of ironing boards to set up in the halls. This will assure we don't pop fuses in the main room due to irons. Machines are actually very low consumers of electricity, it is the irons that kill the breakers. We will space outlets out as well as possible, just remember to turn off irons when not in use. We will have part of our “coffee” room for snacks, drinks (refrigerator available) and supplies from the shop. Feel free to bring some great snack to share if you like, chocolate of course is always welcome. As always, we will bring water bottles and soda. If you have a drink preference, and want to bring something specific, that is great. Just put in the refrigerator! Rooms are three person occupancy. These rooms have three beds, as well as a bath. There is a dresser and couple of chairs in case you need to take a break and relax alone for a bit. The bathrooms have showers, with toweling and linens provided. Meals will be provided throughout the retreat. We will begin with lunch and dinner on Friday, all three meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. We will have plenty of snacks and small nibbles if you want to quilt until Sunday at noon. As always, there will be water and soda in the refrigerator that we will provide. Feel free to bring any snacks or treats you would like to share. There is plenty of refrigerator space to use for you to use as well. As always, we will have lots of inspiration for the weekend. We will bring along quick projects and some new techniques. We wouldn’t want you to get bored! I might be caught up in meetings and need to return your call however. That reminds me, the most wonderful service guy, Frank, will be on sight Friday to service machines. He already has a list of lovely ladies that want their machines serviced, but he will do as many as are needed, including staying till Saturday if required. Just let us know when you check in if you would like your annual cleaning. He will get machines one by one, so you won't be without it for long. He also give you the cleaning for $59 for most machines, what a deal. Let me know if you have any issues, or special needs. I will do anything I can to accommodate what you need.
