Quilted Sneakers Class - BLOOMINGTON Quilt Barn

Join us for two days of sneaker making! Friday 10-2pm and Saturday 10-2pm we will go through the basics and get as much done as possible. The OPTIONAL first day FRIDAY includes fabric selection, quilting two of the fat quarters for the inside and outside of the shoe, and quilting one fat quarter folded in half for the tongues of the shoes. If you can’t make the Friday class, get that done in advance and join us for the assembly on Saturday. Then SATURDAY we will cut out the shoes, bind the quilted pieces, add rivets and sew the sides and tongues to the soles.  We may even get a chance to do some customer shoe strings to give even more flair to these pieces of art.
 
The retreat center will be available for overnight, any night from Thursday through Sunday as needed. Limited to 6 overnight people - two per room for $65 per person per night. Sign up on our retreat center page or call the shop to reserve your spot.

Students can continue learning at home after class ends with the video instruction available.
