Basically Low 26518-BLA1

by Helen Stubbings
Delivers in July 2016.
What's black, gray, and white with light touches of red and blue? It's Helen Stubbings' new Basically Low collection of prints inspired by vintage typewriters and familiar quilting and sewing terms! The playful designs include manual typewriter keys, scrambled letters, numbers, and symbols with hidden sewing terms, scissors that form a chevron stripe, and daisy wheel dots inspired by old school electric typewriters. Hand sketched hash tags and a "Create, Cut, Sew, Press, and Quilt" text print superimposed on the classic typing practice line, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog", complete this clever collection.
The Basically Low prints are perfect for pieced and appliqued quilts, home decor and sewing room projects, wearables, totes for sewing and today's electronic gadgets, and for interesting backgrounds for hand stitchery projects. And, as Helen tells us," the group can also be blended with my Basically Hugs collection of basics and blenders." To show us how, she designed a pieced and appliqued quilt that combines her Basically Low prints with the yellow, orange and red basics from her Basically Hugs collection. It's really cute!
